Concept

The word epic conveys the idea of “surpassing the usual or ordinary.” Epic Church intends to call out and create a missional-incarnational community of Christ followers in the Tucson area. Our goal isn’t to spread our own fame but, to surpass the usual or ordinary and live in close community with God allowing this paradigm shift to permeate all of life. We don’t believe in a sacred vs. secular dichotomy in life. Instead we view everything as sacred and spiritual and that worship is a lifestyle rather than an activity that takes place for an hour once a week.

Missional is the idea that Western culture is no longer under the era of Christendom and as a church we’re adopting the mindset of missionaries in our own land.

By incarnational we mean that the church disassembles itself and seeps into the cracks and crevices of society in order to be Jesus to those who don’t yet know Him. 

As a church we believe it’s in a healthy DNA to be a church starting church. Epic Church will start churches locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. Epic Church everywhere. To the end.
